Credits and licenses

ViajAI relies on open data, licensed photos and third-party services. This page names them, says under which license we use them and how to credit them. In the detail of each place in the app we also show the source, the license and, when there is one, a link to the license text.

We keep OpenStreetMap data in a separate layer (collective database, ODbL section 4.5) and show it in your itinerary as a produced work (section 4.3). We do not export or publish the underlying database.
2. Photos
Place photos come from Wikimedia Commons and other openly licensed sources. Each photo has its own author and its own license: we show the credit next to the photo and, when the source provides one, a link to the license text. Photos you upload stay yours. If a photo is wrongly credited or does not match the place, use “Report” in the place detail or write to us.
3. Weather, flights and destination search
- MET Norway: weather forecast. Data from the Norwegian Meteorological Institute, under its terms of use.
- AeroDataBox: flight data, to look up a flight by its number.
- Geoapify: destination search and suggestions. Powered by Geoapify.
4. Affiliate partners
Some ViajAI links lead to Viator (tours and activities), Stay22 or Booking.com (lodging) and Skyscanner (flights). They are affiliate links: if you buy or book through them, we may earn a commission, at no change to the price you pay. The third party charges and handles the purchase, not ViajAI. We label them “affiliate link” and they do not shape what we recommend. More in the Terms and Conditions and the Privacy Policy.
5. Trademarks and corrections
Third-party names and logos belong to their owners and are used only to identify the source of the information. Mentioning them does not imply sponsorship or endorsement.
If you own a piece of data or a photo and want its credit corrected or removed, write to soporte@viajai.cl.
